WTFCF recently visited Elo Life in Raleigh, NC in May. What is Elo Life? Per CEO Todd Rands, “Fundamentally, Elo is about making nutritious healthy food, making it more affordable, and available to where it is needed the most.” Sounds good right? But here is the best part – they also work at saving crops from extinction.

Two decades ago, a fungus called Fusarium oxysporum began to spread like wildfire throughout the world’s banana producing regions. Now it’s laying waste to Central America. There is no cure. There is no treatment. Banana groves are simply failing left and right. Within a decade, they’ll all be gone. Extinct.
